I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, its a fact that WordPress is wonderful for automated posting, managing and much more, together with Open Source License make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, not to mention I can’t just post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
Its quite difficult to manage more than a few blogs manually, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, the real content writing is time and money consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. There are some interesting examples, let’s examine this one, Smart Phones, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, without a clear theme, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Truck Straps with Winches, this blog is themed, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. there are more sites like these out there, but I believe you get the idea. Last but not least, you should build some casual blogs, let them get some content occasionally, take one blog as example, Chinese Cuisine, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, there’s one thing you do have to remember is that don’t ruin your hard work just because you want to cut a few corners.
